Scar tissue can form for many reasons: surgery, accidents, injury, burns or treatments. They can have a debilitating effect on the body. Damage to the fascial matrix can affect the whole system. This means that a scar can create a pull or pain on the surrounding connective tissue. Range of motion can be restricted in the area and a scala of problems, involving lymphatics, blood vessels and nerves can be caused by scar tissue.
What is scar tissue therapy?
Scar tissue does not only form on the surface of the skin, it goes deeper into the tissue. Scar tissue release focuses on both the appearance and the deeper layers of the skin. Scar Tissue Release may improve :
- Pain and hypersensitivity on the skin
- Numbness or desensitisation on or around the scar (nerve damage)
- Burning sensation
- Change in physical appearance in texture or colour of skin
- Itching
